Brief History
Directors DeskThe Vision to establish Breakthrough Schools was revealed to me on the 13th day of February 2007. The Lord told me to step up ahead set up a Conventional Montessori Creche, Preschool and Primary School as against the Tutorial College and Computer Training Institute I was running then. On 21st September 2009, Breakthrough Schools was established with my daughter Oluwajomiloju Sotomi of 13months old being the first pupil and Angel Adebiyi being the first financial student of the school. Before the end of the week, three other students joined them making a total of five pupils. To the glory of God, we celebrated the first Xmas Concert with eighteen (18) pupils and seven (7) members of staff. The school was founded to provide children with sound academic and moral education that will prepare them for life in the 21st century. Today, the population has grown tremendously as a living testimony of the fact that the school is a choice and not an alternative.
After series of Approval inspections, the school finally got her Lagos State approval on 23rd November 2016 to operate as an approved school within the state
Breakthrough Schools is endowed with highly committed and experienced professional staff who form the Senior Executive Team. The team meets regularly and heads the devising and implementation of school strategic development plan and also has overall responsibility for the daily management of the whole school from Creche class to Grade Six. Each member of the team has their specialist areas of expertise, whist also working cohesively as a group to be proactive and responsive to the changing demands of the educational landscape.
