Of all the revolutions, the technological revolutions of the 20th and 21st centuries are the most thematic. The two centuries have changed the world into a global village, creating a pool of knowledge (stored in computer and internet), which in turn has affected the political, economic, scientific, communication, education and health spheres. In recent times, information and communication technology has become a household name in the educational sector.

The need to deploy more ICT tools in educational contexts has been accentuated by a globalized world and knowledge driven economy. Multimedia gadgets is becoming one of the most common means of using ICT to provide education to students. Looking at the role of education in nation building and population explosion in schools these days, the use of multimedia and visualization gadgets in the teaching-learning process becomes imperative. This is because the adoption of the teacher will enhance effective teaching. With the aid of multimedia and visualization gadgets, teacher can take students beyond traditional limits, ensure their adequate participation in teaching and learning process and create vital environments to experiment and explore. The various multimedia and visualization gadgets used in teaching and learning process in schools include: radio, television, computers, electronic board, overhead projector, video/VCD machine and so on.

The aforementioned gadgets are currently used in the citadel of learning - HOPEWELL SCHOOLS. These gadgets have been effectively in use as a result of regular power supply (Solar panels, Standby generators), computer literate teachers, availability of funds and so on. Making use of multimedia and visualization gadgets in the classroom help to reach wider audience and allow for standardization of quality of instruction to enable each student learn at his or her own pace, active in class and been independent. To the teacher, the use of multimedia and visualization gadgets helps the teacher to be better, more successful and interesting in class, promoted manner of demonstration and learning, greater motivation for work and sometimes better results in learning.
